Who We Are

EW is comprised of a growing global community of Partners In Empowerment (citizens, businesses, & organizations) who understand, that by bringing the best of our resources and ideas to the table, we build a better world for humanity.

Mission

Empowerment Works (EW) is a non-profit Think Tank in Action advancing a global partnership for a sustainable world by nurturing mutually-supportive private, public, and voluntary collaborations that value local heritage.

EW = Philosophy + Action

The most critical global challenges we face - Climate Change, Poverty and HIV/AIDS - do not exist in a vacuum and can not be resolved in isolation. Emphasizing root causes, rather than band-aid relief, Empowerment Works' 7 Stage Approach engages the most diverse social and economic sectors in whole system solutions.

Established in 2001, EW has dedicated the past seven years to supporting community-based initiatives while evaluating its long-term implementation strategy. Realizing the need to support community-based action with diverse expertise, technologies, economic opportunities and creative passion, the Partners In Empowerment™ (PIE) multi-sector collaboration model was born.

This year, harnessing these social innovations for optimal impact, EW is launching The Global Summit™, an eight year social, economic, environmental initiative empowering people, organizations, and businesses to work together around the world - and around the year- to set forth a united strategy for human dignity and sustainability by 2015.
