“Vanishing of the Bees” celebrates documentary completion with Holiday Benefit

Since raising national awareness of this vital issue with our Responsible Media Forum press conference on Bees, Biodiversity, & Food Security in April ‘07, EW has been proud to sponsor the groundbreaking film Project, Vanishing of the Bees. Join us in their sustainable holiday Soiree, Sat. Dec. 6th and Sunday the 7th. (details below)

Hive Mentality Films and Project Butterfly invite you to celebrate the completion of The Vanishing of the Bees/Phase One.

George Langworthy and I have spent almost two years tracking the story behind the disappearance of the bees. Without the bees, love would be wiped out of nature. And we’d be eating gruel! Oh My! Our film has also led us to explore the current agricultural landscape we are living in and has taken us all over America and Europe. Come find out what we’ve been up to, why the bees are still dying all over the planet, and how we can save them.
Our bash serves to share/celebrate the completion of our rough cut and feature some of the highlights of our documentary, which wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our community and concerned citizens! We have matching funds of $150,000, which we still need to raise to help us with post-production costs. Every dollar raised counts and is doubled!!!The night will feature organic fare, honey tastings from around the world, raffles for hundreds of dollars worth of neat gifts (perfect for holidays), performances by Marla Leigh, Miranda Rondeau and clips from our film! Due to popular demand, we’ve dedicated two nights to our bee-cause…. See attached invite! Please contact me if you are interested in attending either Dec. 6th or Dec 7th. Or follow this link to reserve a spot…
In gratitude,
